"Like everything Barry did when he started dancing, he immersed himself totally. After those first few steps I taught him in the kitchen, he went on to introduce West Coast Swing to the Lancaster, Pennsylvania area, founded Red Rose Swing and Roadrunner Music. He was soon the most sought-after DJ in the region and ran back and forth from the podium to the floor, never letting a good piece of music pass him by without a dance. I want to honor that part of his life with a brick in the road of some young person's dance journey.
