The Snow Ball Competition

WikiDanceSport.com

We are so happy to introduce a new (to us) dance competition to our series. In fact, we are kicking off our first competition of the year with it!  The Snow Ball Competition is organized by Donna Edelstein.  If Donna looks familiar, that’s because she is!  Donna is famous for doing interviews and judging at the Ohio Star Ball. This is her 14th annual competition, and our very first year for this competition to be part of the Fordney Foundation.

The dates are set for January 12, 13, and 14, 2018. It will be held at the Hilton Minneapolis/St. Paul Airport Mall of America. This comp features senior scholarships, pro/am bronze and silver Best of the Best, and a new Global Gentleman’s Multi-Dance Challenge. It is part of the World Pro-am Dancesport series, the Global DanceSport Series, and the United States Championship Circuit. And now it is partnered with our Fordney Foundation Junior and Youth Dance Series.

The Fordney Foundation got connected with Donna Edelstein when Marilyn Fordney was recently attending the Ohio Star Ball’s 40th Anniversary event. Donna Edelstein is a judge and conducts interviews for Sam Sodano about various aspects of the competition. She invited Marilyn to be interviewed and then subsequently mentioned she would soon have a competition and would like to connect The Snow Ball with our dance series.
