Devotion to Motion

endecor.us

So readers, if I’m going to be honest and tell the truth, writing blogs for the Fordney Foundation is fun because I get to write about dance and everything about dance.  Our non-profit organization caters to dance and I’m delighted to be surrounded by people who are “all about dance.” Not everyone can be as lucky as me.  Often times people do not like what they do.  That would not be me.  You see, I get to honor the world of dance in all its glory; especially ballroom/dancesport and work with people who appreciate the beauty of dance and how it affects other people.  Let’s face it, dancing makes us happy.  Watch a dancer perform, and instantly, the corners of your mouth turn up!  It’s a pleasant experience.

You know, you are lucky too, all you would be ballroom/dancesport dancers out there.  If you love to dance and are passionate about dancing, for you, it is the natural thing to do.  What else is as beautiful to watch and makes us feel so fulfilled.  And if you don’t think your passion for dance can lead to a professional career, maybe you need to think again and make that DREAM become a reality!

For a special treat, and to bring home the point of “following your bliss,” I would like to share with you a little bit of dancing history and show you how rich our culture has become with people totally divested into the art of dance.  Not to mention, (and not to be confused with the main reason to dance which is for the love of it) there is a lot of fame and fortune to be had in the dance world, if you can connect professionally.

Here is a small list of some of the most famous people (dead and alive) in the world who have made an impact in the dancing world.  This list includes famous television shows, broadway plays, movies, singers, actors and of course people, who are just happy to dance.

About Freddie Brock

By the time Freddie was three years old she was dancing. It has always been her first love and passion. She is a free-spirited dancer. Because she loved music and dance so much, it led her to become a professional songwriter. She is a published and recorded songwriter with gold records. She is also a vet of both the music and film business and worked in the capacity of production assistant throughout her career. Freddie is an artist in her own right. She paints on clothes, makes jewelry, knits, crochets and generally loves art in many forms; she often says she “lives to create.”
